For each skeleton that you plan to put on stilts, cut two identical PVC pipes. For our project, we cut the poles at 11'.
Next, zip tie the skeletons to the PVC pipes, starting from the pelvis and working down. *Make sure that the poles go up into the rib cage of the skeleton.*
Then, once the poles are secure, dress up the skeleton as a clown. We used old costumes that we had.
To create the long pants that your clowns will have to wear to hide the PVC pipes, use a vinyl table cloth roll. You can get these online or in stores in rolls that contain 100'. Wrap your table cloth around the leg and pole, securing it in the back with duct tape.
Finally stand your clowns on stilts up, and they are completed! You can make a variety of these in with different faces and colored pants.
